Nanoparticle analysis

A new methode of Nanoparticle measurement allows the individual visualisation and size determination of nanoparticles in suspension.

- Size range: 10 to 1000 nm

- Usable for all types of nanoparticle material

- Broad sprectrum of solvants

- Minimal sample volume needed (300 Microliter)

- Polydisperse samples are well measured

- Long term measurements up to 12 hours

- Material analysis by measuring the intensity of ligh scattering

Concentration determination of nanoparticles and virus

- Measurement of fluorescently labelled particles

NEW: Zeta-Potential measurement

Zeta Potential Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (Z-NTA) adds measurement of surface charge to simultaneous reporting of size, light scattering intensity, fluorescence and count, and does so particle-by-particle.

No other methodology comes close to providing such simultaneous, multiparameter nanoparticle characterisation.

· Zeta potential is measured particle-by-particle, simultaneously for the population.

· Simultaneously each particle also has size and light scattering intensity reported.

· Polydisperse and complex suspensions are readily characterised.

· No labeling is required however a fluorescence mode further differentiates suitable-labeled sub-populations.

· This data set is validated by real time observation of particles moving under both electrophoresis and Brownian motion.

As a consequence:

· Variation in zeta potential with size is analysed.

· Positively and negatively charged particles are reported separately, should they exist together.

· Sub-populations of similar sized particles of different materials, differentiated by their propensity to scatter light, are separately reported and counted.

· Changes in Zeta Potential distribution with pH, concentration and temperature can be studied.

· Aggregation and flocculation can be studied quantitatively in real-time.

· Suitable labeling can highlight one sub-population for analysis despite high background noise.
